Role Scope:
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of high reliability radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware. The Mechanical Assembler will work from diagrams and drawing and make initial layouts. The ideal candidate must be able to read and understand engineering, processes, assembly, and traveler documentation.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
- Provide feedback to Engineering on assembly/test discrepancies, drawing errors, quality errors, etc., to preclude recurrence
- Practices and emphasizes values and a culture that places the highest value on workplace safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance
- Develops relationships with peer groups that foster teamwork and unity of purpose
- Assemble small to medium parts
- Connector and harness installation
- Use of various hand tools and torque tools
- Cleaning, bonding, measuring
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- Knowledge and understanding of IPC and Mil standards
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO and AS controls and regulations
- Experience with small to medium parts
- Highly skilled at small parts assembly operations
- Knowledge and understanding of ESD procedures
- Knowledge in the use of epoxies and bonding materials
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and lead
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Sense of ownership and responsibility
Additional Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skilled with all types of hand tools and micro-tools
- Ability to use and assemble under a microscope

This role requires to be on-site during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD.
