Summary :

The Software Automation Engineer will take on the role of a software systems engineer and programmer in the development of production and factory automation applications. From a set of requirements and features, this role will be responsible for producing new applications from concept and architecture through final release and maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Develop and test factory data collection code
Debug and unit testing of software products
Diagnose, debug and solve issues to meet production milestones
Support Hardware and software integration in an Agile development environment
Work in a team environment as well as individually
Support design reviews and other customer-facing meetings
Project work and other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline

Minimum of 3 years of direct experience

Ability to write clear, well-tested, well-documented software

In-depth knowledge of several coding languages, preferably among the following :

C / C

Python

Java / JS

LabVIEW

Visual Basic

Experience with aspects of the software life cycle process including planning, decomposition of system requirements to high-level software requirements, low-level requirements, architecture, code, verification, and certification

Dependable, self-directed, and self-disciplined

Time management and multitasking skills

Problem solving and analytical skills; must be able to describe problems and solutions in a clear, concise manner

Problem solver; well organized and detailed oriented

Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office software

This role requires to be on-site during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML / STD / LTD.
