JOB SUMMARY:
The System Engineer (Program Manager) will be responsible for managing and overseeing a key customer program at Mission Microwave Technologies, ensuring the successful delivery of our products and services. This role requires a blend of program and project management, account management, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, particularly in RF and microwave technologies, and will be adept at managing client relationships, project timelines, budgeting, and technical requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management:
- Develop and manage program plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Project Management:
- Lead project planning and execution for all initiatives related to the customer account.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer account.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understand customer’s needs and ensure Mission Microwave Technologies meets or exceeds expectations.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize engineering knowledge to understand and communicate technical requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address technical challenges and optimize product offerings.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in RF and microwave technologies.
Communication and Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to senior management on program and project status.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation as required.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience; background as a System Engineer preferred.
- Strong understanding of RF and microwave technologies, components, and systems.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and projects.
- Understanding of IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, -750, -1580.
- Understanding of ISO and AS controls and regulations.
- Understanding of ESD procedures.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for design and process optimization.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Working experience with MS Project and Phase gate methodology.
- Must be able to read and understand engineering, process, assembly, and traveler documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply analytical methods to resolve technical challenges.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality.

This is a salaried position based in California.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
