What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Mobile Medical Health Clinic Program position at Mission Mobile Medical?
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the mobile clinic to various locations, setting up clinic at the sites, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic on wheels. This role combines clinical duties with the unique responsibility of managing a mobile healthcare unit.
General Tasks
1. Driving and Operating the Mobile Clinic:

Safely drive the mobile medical clinic to designated locations.

Ensure the vehicle is properly cleaned, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintains all functions of the mobile clinic for daily operations.
2. Patient Care:

Greet and register patients upon arrival.

Take and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse).

Assist physicians and nurses with examinations and procedures.

Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.

Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.

Educate patients on health management and care procedures.
3. Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Assist with insurance documentation and billing processes.

Handle telephone calls and patient inquiries.
- Complete necessary documentation required for the operation of the mobile medical clinic.
4. Clinical Support:

Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are properly sanitized.

Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Provides the same clinical support within the operating facility when necessary.
5. Community Outreach:

Participate in community health fairs and outreach programs.

Provide health education and resources to underserved communities.
- Builds relationships with community officials as the liaison between communities and operating facility.
Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends.
Work Environment
100% Onsite. Work conditions may involve cold weather, icy conditions, and maintaining a safe entry onto the mobile clinic.
Salary & Benefits
• 80 PTO hours available after first 60 days of service.
• Medical insurance – 100% employer contribution, participating plans.

• 401K – 120 days eligibility is fully vested with up to a 4% match.
• Weekly payday, every Friday.

• Salary range $60K – 65K.
