Mission Multiplier is looking for a qualified Information System Security Officer (ISSO), SME, to join our team, onsite based in Huntsville, Alabama.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO), Business Process Owner, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of an information system.
- ISSOs are responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
- Directs and implements the necessary controls and procedures to cost-effectively protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
- Provides guidance and direction for the physical protection of information systems assets to other functional units.
- Provides reports to superiors regarding effectiveness of data security and makes recommendations for the adoption of new procedures.
- Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
- Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
- Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
- Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
- Minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience. Certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
- U.S. Top Secret Clearance required with TS/SCI eligibility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May supervise others.
- Must be willing to support a 24/7/365 schedule. Actual schedule to be determined.
