Job description: Mission of Mercy is looking for a Part-time and/ or Full-time RN who is looking for a place where they can make a difference. Mission of Mercy's is a non profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to restore dignity, "Healing through Love," by providing free medical care to people who are uninsured in South Texas.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Registered Nurse works closely with the Executive Director, Medical Director and medical staff to assist our patients with providing quality compassionate care through our mission of restoring dignity, Healing through Love, and providing free medical care to people who are uninsured.·
Full time position (preferred) is 40 hours with benefits.·
Part-time is 20-25 hours with benefits.·
Salary range is $25 to 27 per hour.·

Medical Center is open Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
-Assist the Executive Director, Medical Director, and medical team as needed to carry out the needs of Mission of Mercy by providing quality compassionate care for our patients.
-Work as a licensed registered nurse within the state requirements.
-Assist the Executive Director in recruiting volunteer and non-volunteer staff.
-Assist with scheduling, maintaining patient file information, and other duties as assigned.
-Attend internal meetings with medical team and administration.
-Performs day-to-day functions and general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, faxing, answering office phone and nurse cell phone.
-Must exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for our patients, practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
-Assist the medical team with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient concerns.
-Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the clinic and Mission of Mercy.
-Work in at least one late night clinic once a month.
-Assist with Mission of Mercy events including but not limited to flu shot clinics, drive through clinics, community special events and others.
-Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Medical Director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in Texas.
-Minimum of 2 years work experience in direct patient care as a registered nurse.
-Good oral and written communication skills.
-Bilingual is preferred
-Organized, high energy, team player with a great attitude.
-Proven flexibility and willingness to handle a variety of tasks.
-Experience with Electronic Health Records helpful but not required.
