Household Manager for an Austin Family (Full-Time)
We’re looking for an organized, caring, detail-loving Household Manager to keep our home and lives running beautifully and seamlessly. If you take pride in noticing the little things (like making sure plants don’t die on your watch), love decorating for the holidays, and enjoy keeping a home organized, stocked, and running smoothly, this might be the perfect role for you.
A typical day starts early—preparing breakfast for our two kids, getting them ready, and helping us get them to school. Once the morning rush settles, you’ll shift into running the house: overseeing household projects, handling errands, organizing, and keeping an eye on maintenance needs. You’ll also be the go-to person for hiring and overseeing vendors (housekeeper, electrician, landscapers, etc.) and ensuring everything stays on schedule.

Responsibilities You’ll Have:
Household & Home Maintenance
- Ensure the house runs smoothly and stays well-maintained.
- Manage vendors & maintenance schedules (e.g., lawn care, pool service, tree trimming, appliance repairs).
- Execute household organization projects.
- Keep the home stocked & tidy so supplies never run low.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained.
- Lead home improvement and seasonal projects.
Scheduling, Logistics & Special Projects
- Act as the single point of contact for all things home-related.
- Maintain a household calendar for maintenance, repairs, and seasonal tasks.
- Help with small events or gatherings (~1x per month).
- Assist with travel logistics—booking trips, packing, and airport drop-offs/pick-ups.
- Research and execute special projects (e.g., replacing appliances, finding new furniture).
Daily Household Support
- Prepare breakfast for the kids and help them get out the door.
- Occasionally cook simple meals when our chef is away.
- Help with light household tasks—laundry, tidying, processing mail/returns, etc.
- Care for household plants and pets as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is warm, caring, and thrives on keeping things in order. You naturally notice what needs to be done, whether it’s restocking supplies before they run out or keeping an eye on household maintenance. You have a sharp memory, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. A resourceful problem-solver, you don’t wait for issues to pile up—you’re already calling the right vendor before we realize something needs fixing.
You’re comfortable in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the kids and occasionally cooking simple meals. Prior experience in household management, personal assistance, or working in a fine home or hotel means you know how to balance professionalism with a warm, family-friendly touch.
Schedule & Compensation:
Schedule
- School Year: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Summer & School Holidays: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
