Your Role : Expert Care for Healing and Recovery
As a Wound Care Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in helping residents heal and thrive. Your key responsibilities include :
- Wound Treatment : Clean wounds to reduce bacteria, eliminate debris, and minimize infection risks.
- Bandaging & Dressing : Create protective barriers to promote healing, regularly changing dressings as needed.
- Collaborative Care : Partner with the patient care team to assess the need for additional therapies and specialized care.
- Education & Prevention : Teach patients and caregivers proper wound care techniques, post-surgical management, and pressure ulcer (bed sore) prevention.
- Patient Advocacy : Maintain detailed documentation, coordinate with wound care physicians, and communicate effectively with the care team.
