Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Laundry Supervisor. This full time/seasonal position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will have one or more years of commercial or hospitality laundry experience and possess an upbeat attitude, and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary role of the Laundry Supervisor is to lead the Laundry team to provide Mission Point Resort guests with an exceptional service experience. The duties of this role include leading the Laundry Staff to ensure a consistently clean and attractive linen product is provided in a timely manner that will be used within all guest rooms and guest areas. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
- One or more years of commercial or hospitality laundry experience
- Working knowledge of Housekeeping processes and procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards within the Laundry department
- Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem solving abilities to ensure the highest level of productivity.
- Ability to work on Mackinac Island seasonally
