JOB SUMMARY
The Transportation Administrator (2nd shift) will be responsible for updating, assisting, and reporting issues and occurrences that take place during after-hours. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage North America transportation operations and ensure seamless freight movement across our supply chain network.
This position will be remote to west coast region only and is 2nd shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contact carriers/brokers for various information, such as ETAs, appts confirmations, status reports and other items.
- Coordinate and schedule both inbound and outbound loads with carriers and customers when needed.
- Booking both loads, both FTL and LTL, with contracted carriers based on customer needs as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong Transportation related relationships.
- Track orders using functional system (i.e., BluJay (TMS), Locus Traxx).
- Communicate with warehouse, Sales, Inventory and other parties regarding product availability, delays, issues, and solutions.
- Ensure loads are picking up as scheduled and adjust accordingly when necessary.
- Communicate loads with Mexico partners on both shipper and carrier sides.
- Prepare and generate reports on pending items and recap night’s activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in fast-paced/high-pressure environment.
- Capable of working in collaboration with multiple departments and 3PL clients.
- Critical thinking and sense of urgency.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Extreme accuracy, detail oriented.
- Able to raise and effectively deal with issues at all levels of management, ability to suggest procedures to improve processes.
- Excellent customer service and phone skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
- Excellent ability to analyze data timely, efficiently, effectively and multi-task projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to build and maintain cross functional working relationships in a team environment.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Northern America.
- Ability to deal with changing objectives, deadlines, and priorities beyond one’s control.
- Ability to remain calm and unemotional in stressful situations.
- Bilingual (Spanish) required.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
- English/Spanish bilingual and biliterate required.
- Skilled in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- TMS knowledge appreciated.
- DOT and transportation industry regulations knowledge.
- Work Mon-Fri 2pm-11pm.
Position range: $69,000 - $98,000
