We are seeking a highly motivated individual with substantive industry experience, at least one year of law firm experience, and a degree in material, chemical, mechanical, biomedical engineering, or a related field to join our patent counseling and prosecution practice in New York, NY . The ideal candidate will possess broad scientific knowledge in fields such as chemical engineering or material science and demonstrate exceptional technical, written, and verbal communication skills. This role will focus on patentability and freedom to operate analyses, drafting patent applications, assisting with patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation, and analyzing patent and scientific papers.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
- Assist patent attorneys with patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
- Analyze patent and scientific papers / documents to support patent strategies.
