Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Behavioral Health CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing patient-centered care to individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
2. Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to the nursing staff.
3. Provide support during group therapy sessions, recreational activities, and other treatment programs.
4. Encourage patients to participate in their care plan and assist them in identifying and expressing their needs.
5. Maintain a safe and clean environment by assisting with housekeeping tasks, organizing patient belongings, and ensuring proper storage of medical supplies.
6. Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Participate in mandatory in-service training programs to maintain certification and stay current on best practices in behavioral health care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
