Group/Class: Group III or IV, Hourly/Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $16.28 - $19.78/hr

Reports To: Facilities Manager

Status: Seasonal, Full-Time or Part-time

CLEANING CREW  JOB SUMMARY:

This position involves the cleaning from floor to ceiling of Mission Ridge buildings and facilities.  Personnel may work day or evening shifts, during normal operating hours and during Special Events as they dictate throughout the year.  This is a hands-on position with much exposure to the public and other departments.  Good people skills and a sunny disposition are a must.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

• Cleaning, vacuuming, and waste removal in Mission Ridge buildings.
• Regular restroom checks to maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Maintenance of outdoor walkways and garbage cans; including snow removal

 
SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemical supplies.
• Knowledge of operation of carpet and upholstery machines.
• Basic plumbing skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Graduate.
• Valid Washington State Drivers License.
• Two years related experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a hands-on position, requiring tolerance to and the ability to work in inclement weather under adverse conditions.
• Ability to problem solve “on the spot”.
   
• Ability to work in an all-season outdoor mountain environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Seeing: RARELY  Must be able to read reports and use computer.

Hearing:  REGULARLY Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers.

Standing/Walking: REGULARLY  

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: REGULARLY  

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: REGULARLY Must be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: RARELY  Must be able to write, type and use phone systems.
