What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Operations Specialist position at Mission Solar?
Essential Functions:
- Analyze historical data to provide sales insights regarding performance, seasonality, high-level trends, etc.
- Play an integral role within the sales operations team to enforce Salesforce best practices within the sales team.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, deliveries, and general support.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
- Manage the order fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of sales orders.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Coordinate and book trucks to facilitate the shipment of solar module pallets, ensuring effective communication of any issues or updates to our customers throughout transportation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales operations, preferably in the solar industry.
- Technical understanding of solar power systems and inverters is a plus.
- Ability to work with customers on technical questions and solutions, drawing expertise from the company's application engineering team and working closely with all other departments.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic PC skills.
- Some Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.
- Ability to adjust, adapt, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere.
- Excellent communication, both spoken and written and interpersonal skills.
- High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external groups.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and manage daily, weekly, and monthly required work tasks.
- Must be able to directly interface with various individuals, companies, and vendors to create, maintain, and solidify strong relationships.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on product and/or departmental needs.
Physical Demands:
- Typical demands in an office environment include typing, sitting, and looking at a computer monitor for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift, carry, move, and/or position objects weighing up to 51 pounds unassisted when performing essential job functions.
- When performing essential job functions, the worker may need to bend, stoop, crouch, ascend, and/or descend regularly.
- Constantly observes, assesses, inspects, communicates, detects, conveys, and exchanges information when performing essential job functions.
