Business Development Analyst - Hedge Fund

Position: Business Development Analyst

Role Overview: Our client, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development (BD) Analyst to support the Senior Investment Officer in managing the sourcing, evaluation, and recruitment of investment professionals. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in business development within multi-manager environments or hedge fund allocations, with a particular emphasis on long/short equity strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the search and evaluation of candidates for long/short equity teams, as well as other investment teams across the firm. Provide thorough assessments and recommendations to Senior Investment Officers and other key stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal teams across legal, operations, risk, technology, HR, and others to manage both urgent and strategic projects that drive business development forward.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external contacts such as recruitment firms and financial institutions, ensuring a professional and positive representation of Jain Global.
• Organize and oversee the BD team's systems, ensuring candidate profiles are accurately maintained, evaluations are logged, and reporting processes are streamlined. Create regular and ad-hoc reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with the technology team to enhance the BD system, ensuring it meets the firm's needs and supports efficient workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in a relevant financial services role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with PowerPoint is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage projects with senior-level internal teams.
• Self-driven and energetic, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• A disciplined approach to optimizing operational processes and extracting meaningful insights from data.
• Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting/visualization tools, and advanced Excel techniques (including pivot tables) is desirable. Coding experience is a plus.
