Our client, a leading global investment management firm based in New York, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Strategy and Governance Lead to oversee and implement a comprehensive data strategy for their growing Private Corporate Credit and Structured Credit business. This individual will be instrumental in driving the firm’s data governance framework, ensuring alignment with industry regulations, and enhancing operational efficiency across multiple financial sectors, including private credit, liquid credit, asset-backed finance, and structured finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement a cohesive data strategy that enhances capabilities across financial sectors, focusing on Private Corporate Credit, Liquid Credit, Structured Finance (ABS, MBS, Loans, Bank Debt, HY Bonds, Corporate Credit, Emerging Market Credit), and more.
- Design and implement scalable data architecture that enables advanced analytics, business intelligence, and improved data management for the firm.
- Develop and maintain a robust data governance framework to ensure data quality, security, and privacy in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, IT, and Business Units to optimize data systems and drive the adoption of new technologies.
- Monitor data governance practices to ensure compliance with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the team in staying up to date with the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging data technologies to maintain the firm’s competitive edge.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, driving a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- 10–20 years of experience in data strategy, governance, and architecture, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong background in managing financial data, especially within private credit, structured finance, fixed income, and asset-backed finance.
- Proficiency in data management, big data technologies, and cloud solutions, with the ability to apply these tools strategically to achieve business objectives.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Snowflake; experience with Python is a plus.
Salary : $90 - $95
