Our client, an investment bank located in Jersey City, NJ is looking for a DTCC Settlements Consultant. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the settlement of securities transactions through the DTCC. This role ensures timely and accurate settlement, minimizes operational risks, and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and process incoming and outgoing securities transactions on various DTCC platforms, such as the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) and the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC).
• Verify trade details, including security identifiers, quantity, price, and settlement instructions.
• Conduct daily reconciliations to ensure that trade details in the bank's systems match the information recorded at the DTCC.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Implement risk management practices to mitigate settlement-related risks, such as failed trades and operational errors.
• Monitor trade statuses and proactively address any settlement issues.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, such as SEC rules and DTCC guidelines, and ensure that all settlement activities are in compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including traders, operations, and compliance, to facilitate smooth trade settlements.
