Our client, a growing investment management firm in New York City, is seeking a management company accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in management company accounting, with a strong focus on expense allocation, management fees, and QuickBooks. Familiarity with Bill.com is a plus. The role will involve a deep dive into the 2024 management company expenses, particularly around deal allocations, SPV formation, and fund expenses. This will include setting up QuickBooks Online to support detailed cost reporting and creating financial models for better financial visibility. Strong experience in FP&A, dashboards, and KPI tracking is essential.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage expense allocation across funds, management company, and portfolio entities.
- Oversee accounting records and streamline workflows using QuickBooks and Bill.com.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls.
Requirements:
- 5 years in management company accounting, with experience in expense allocation and financial modeling.
