Operational Risk Specialist (VP)

Our client, a global asset management firm is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst to join their Risk Management Team. The firm covers Equities and Multi-asset, Fixed Income and Leveraged Credit products. The individual will provide risk guidance and implement a strong risk management framework, including assessing the design and operational effectiveness of critical processes and controls of the business. This includes assessing and enhancing governance and risk frameworks, benchmarking to market standards, looking at current vs future state and documenting policies and procedures. Candidates must have experience working in an Investment/Asset Management environment. Involvement in internal control reporting (SOC1) type engagement is a bonus.

*2-3 days on-site in Philly

*$150K-$200K- this is at least a 1-year contract role with full benefits and PTO

Requirements:

• At least seven years’ experience developing and / or executing non-financial risk management frameworks, benchmarking to market standards.
• A strong understanding of business control environments and technology, including assessment of control design and operating model reviews.
• Experience in US Investment Management industry, including regulated 40 Act funds and other vehicles subject to Federal securities rules and regulations
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including developing procedure and controls documentation.
• Senior stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to initiate and lead conversations with senior leaders.
• At least seven years’ experience developing and / or executing non-financial risk management frameworks, benchmarking to market standards.
• A strong understanding of business control environments and technology, including assessment of control design and operating model reviews.
• Experience in US Investment Management industry, including regulated 40 Act funds and other vehicles subject to Federal securities rules and regulations
