What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Fund Accountant position at Mission Staffing?
Our client, a hedge fund based in New York, NY, is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their internal Finance team. The individual must have an understanding of hedge/PE funds, including experience working with investor allocations and various fee calculations. Additionally, this person will be assisting with year-end reporting, audits of accounts and preparation of year-end financial statements, including interacting with administrators and auditors. Candidates must have 3 years of fund accounting experience with both public and private/in-house experience.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience with prior public accounting or private equity accounting experience, CPA preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP reporting, financial statement compilation, master/feeder accounting, partnership allocations and series accounting
- Understanding of fund structures, management fees, waterfall calculations
Salary : $50 - $65
