Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Alignment Engineer to join our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. As an Alignment Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and testing of Aegis Combat Systems on naval ships. This position requires working together with a multi-disciplinary geographically dispersed team to ensure the successful alignment verification of combat systems, contributing to the safety and effectiveness of naval operations.
This position can be worked at one of the following locations and will require ~25% travel: San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Chesapeake, VA, Washington, DC, Cherry Hill, NJ, Pascagoula, MS, Dahlgren, VA, or Bath, ME.
This is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities
The Alignment Engineer shall conduct AEGIS Combat System Alignment Verification. The Alignment Engineer shall specifically:
- Conduct shipboard or site alignment testing, data processing, review and analysis of alignment verification data.
- Review and produce adaptation data products, including identifying and resolving issues.
- Conduct shipboard testing according to government furnished test procedures.
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Client requirements: 10 years or more of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field OR 15 years of relevant experience without a BA/BS.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Ability to travel O/CONUS as needed.
- An active Secret clearance is preferred.
