POSITION TITLE: Dishwasher
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Dishwasher position is responsible for clean dishes and keeping the kitchen area clean. This position is for evening and weekend shifts. Our dishwasher joins the food service team in serving meals and providing hospitality to our program participants and staff.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
· Dishwasher reports to the Food Service Manager
TEAM MEMBERSHIP:
- Member of the Food Service Team
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning Responsibilities
- Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
- Properly washes, stacks and stores glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
- Sanitize and clean workstations.
- Perform cleaning duties in dining hall.
- Maintains trash cans throughout the shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
- Perform sweeping, mopping and other closing duties.
- Turns off equipment at the end of the shift.
Line Service Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent hospitality and customer service to those coming through the programs. Ex: able to communicate meal ingredients.
- Serve appropriate food portions.
- Serve in a safe and healthy manner.
General Responsibilities
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the Food Service Manager.
- Participate in Food Service staff meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No experience required; we will train if needed.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend, move and lift up to 25 pounds or more.
- Has reliable transportation during all times of the year.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
