Indirect Tax Manager to join our Accounting Department.

Shift Details:
Southfield, MI (20450 Civic Center Dr., Southfield, MI 48076) – Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Birmingham, AL (2204 Lakeshore Drive, Suite 325 W, Birmingham, AL 35209) – In-office Monday through Friday

Job Summary: The Indirect Tax Manager oversees compliance, reporting, and strategy for sales tax, use tax, personal
property tax, and other indirect taxes. This role ensures accurate tax calculation, filing, and remittance
while managing audits, identifying tax risks, and optimizing tax processes.
Travel: Less than 10%

Essential Functions:
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Six years of experience in indirect tax compliance, consulting, or industry taxation.
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional sales tax and use tax reporting.
- Strong knowledge of tax automation tools (i.e. Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE).
- Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
