Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience)

Job Summary: The Veterinary Data Specialist manages and organizes veterinary data mapping and medical coding to support proprietary Practice Information Management Systems (PIMs). Reporting to the Director of IT Strategy and Planning, this role focuses on maintaining data integrity, implementing coding standards, and collaborating with teams to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with data management policies.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the veterinary field, with a strong understanding of veterinary workflows.
- Proficiency with veterinary PIMs software.
- Demonstrated experience in coding standardization, creation, and data organization.
- Advanced analytical skills for identifying gaps and inconsistencies in data structures.
- Familiarity with data management principles and systems.
- Basic understanding of data integration and mapping techniques.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
