What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Risk Management position at Mission Wealth Management LP?
As a Barron’s Top 100 RIA firm and voted Best Places to Work by Fortune, Pacific Coast Business Times, Inc. (Best Workplaces), and Investment News, Mission Wealth is hiring a growth-minded Director of Risk Management to join our award-winning team! If you are ready to elevate your career in a leading wealth management company with a commitment to giving back to the community and expanding nationally, let’s go!
The Director of Risk Management primarily supports Mission Wealth’s Advisors who are incorporating personal financial risk reviews into the services they provide to clients. As an internal risk management consultant for our advisors and their clients, the Risk Management Director helps them understand the strengths and weaknesses of the product that they own and recommends better alternatives -- if appropriate. This role involves working closely with our clients and their advisors as well as consultants from the insurance brokerage firm to assess the client’s current life, long-term care, and long-term disability insurance policies as well as any annuities that they own. If their existing policy or contract can be improved, the Director often works as the agent to replace the product.
Although Mission Wealth does not sell property and casualty insurance, the Director of Risk Management also conducts and publishes Property & Casualty insurance reviews for clients so they may better work with their P&C insurance agent to optimize their coverage.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, at least eight years of experience as a consultant or salesperson in one or more areas of personal financial risk management (such as life insurance, annuities, or long-term care insurance), an insurance designation such as CLU, CIC, or AAI, and a general understanding of financial planning, annuities, long-term care planning, and investments.
Mission Wealth has offered 360-degree wealth management services to affluent families since 2000. Our dynamic planning process ensures that every piece of the puzzle is put into place as our clients’ lives unfold and their needs evolve. This gives them the complete picture and confidence in their financial future.
