The Senior Operations Coordinator oversees all aspects of Order Management, Warehousing, and Outbound Logistics, with additional responsibilities for managing relationships with our top 3-5 highest value customers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, this position will be responsible for sales order management, customer communication, ERP data integrity, inbound receipts, 3PL communication, VAS/rework management, ordering supplies/materials, and fostering strategic partnerships with key customers. A key success in this role will be to ensure all our customers are shipped in full and on time while keeping the operational overhead down.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement advanced operational strategies to improve order fulfillment processes, reduce errors, and enhance on-time delivery performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for top-tier customers, ensuring their operational needs are prioritized and met with precision and efficiency.
- Oversee the training and performance evaluation of 3PL partners to ensure alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
- Strategically manage and monitor outbound logistics to mitigate risks and address any bottlenecks or disruptions in the supply chain.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with complex customer routing and shipping requirements, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Design and maintain dashboards to provide actionable insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery compliance, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes and create scalable solutions to meet the demands of business growth.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of 3PL and internal operational performance to identify areas for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Establish best practices for handling escalations, managing exceptions, and improving overall service levels.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Operations to develop and execute strategic projects aimed at enhancing operational excellence across the organization.
- Manage and oversee special projects related to high-visibility customer accounts, ensuring all operational deliverables are executed flawlessly.
Background and required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required; business major preferred.
- Prior Operations experience required (5-7 years).
- Experience shipping to major retailers like Home Depot and Lowes is highly preferred.
- Experience shipping product displays to customers.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, SUMIFS, etc.) is required.
- ERP systems experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus.
- SPS Commerce experience a plus.
- Innovative yet objective thinking to help identify opportunities to continue moving the business forward.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual ready to take on a more strategic and impactful position within the operations team.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
