Job Description
Our client is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team atan Outpatient Breast Center located in Houston, TX. This newly opened,mid-level position offers an excellent opportunity to providehigh-quality mammography imaging services while ensuring patientsafety and comfort. The ideal candidate will be skilled in radiologicand mammography technology, focused on exceptional patient care, andcommitted to professional excellence.RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform mammography radiographic exams while ensuring compliancewith all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for imaging exams, including explainingprocedures, administering contrast when necessary, and positioningpatients appropriately.
- Monitor and accurately enter patient data into the system.
- Ensure the technical quality of all images produced for diagnosticpurposes.
- Conduct quality assurance on mammography equipment and assist withaccreditation applications (e.g., ACR).
- Identify and promptly report any accidents, complaints, orequipment malfunctions to management.
- Participate in emergency call assignments as required.
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensuresafe care for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Promote professional growth through ongoing education and skillscompetency.
- Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced teammembers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.MUST HAVES :
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Mammography Technology.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board(MRT) (REQUIRED).
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) (REQUIRED).
- Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT-M) (REQUIRED).
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS / ALS).NICE TO HAVES :
- Prior experience as a Mammography Technologist.
- Previous experience working in an outpatient imaging center.
- Ability to lift and safely maneuver patients as part of job duties.LOCATION : Houston, TX SALARY : $68,000 - $95,000
