Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director ofLaboratory to lead the Lab Department's operations. This role involvesmanaging resources, ensuring quality patient care, and fosteringprofessional growth while meeting organizational objectives. TheDirector will play a vital role in shaping the department’s impacton the continuum of care within the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards inalignment with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethicalrequirements.
- Oversee departmental operations, including patient care delivery,information technologies, service levels, and complaint management.
- Plan and manage staffing activities, such as hiring, training,evaluating, and implementing continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets to ensurecompliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
- Create an environment that encourages professional growth andintegrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinicalprotocols.
- Ensure the department remains focused on its critical role in thecontinuum of care.MUST HAVES :
- EDUCATION : Bachelor’s Degree required.
- CERTIFICATIONS : ASCP certification or equivalent.
- SKILLS : Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability towork with minimal supervision in a high-pressure environment.NICE TO HAVES :
- Leadership experience in a laboratory within an acute care setting.
- Proven experience in department leadership.LOCATION : Mayfield, KentuckySALARY : $98,000 - $113,000
