Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary US liaison with the Global Data Governance team and Board, ensuring alignment with global initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and lead monthly US Data Governance Steering Committee meetings, overseeing data issue remediation, stewardship, and governance initiatives.
- Utilize expertise in DMBI data modeling to identify data quality issues, root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Provide strategic guidance to US Leadership on Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality (DQ) initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a US Data Glossary while ensuring consistency with the Global Data Glossary.
- Collaborate with system owners and business leaders to research, resolve, and track data-related issues.
- Establish methodologies for prioritizing and managing data issues based on impact and risk.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting controls, Basel III, BCBS 239, and other regulatory standards.
- Support corporate data governance policies by ensuring adherence in DMBI processes and regulatory reporting.
- Lead data governance aspects of key projects, including the Future Model Landscape initiative.
- Act as a business owner for DMBI project phases, facilitating successful implementation of new data fields and expanding project scope.
- 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Strong background in Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in reporting, database management, and data analytics.
- Extensive knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and data cleansing operations.
- Deep understanding of database architecture and data modeling.
