What are the responsibilities and job description for the VDC Engineer position at MissionXI?
MissionXI are currently recruiting for VDC/BIM Project Engineers to join a leading general contractor in Virginia.
My client, a preeminent Data Center build, is currently searching for talented VDC experts to join their team. They have over $5bn in upcoming projects planned and are growing fast.
They have multiple offices across the US, but are aiming at hiring people to join their Richmond-based team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with members of the VDC team in the design and implementation of VDC strategy, taking ownership of it throughout the project lifecycle
- Support model coordination with architectural, civil and other parts of the build
- Identify issues and missing information, and integrate AR/VR integrations into the BIM model
- Review the VDC project setup and oversee it's implementation
- Interact regularly with team members and peers on-site and share best practice and lessons learnt
Experience required:
- Undergrad or equivalent work experience in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or similar applicable discipline
- 2 years of VDC experience as a Project Engineer or similar on construction industry projects
- Experience with Mission Critical or Data Center projects not essential, but appreciated
- Extensive experience with Revit, Navisworks, CAD
- Experience managing end-to-end BIM/VDC management, detecting clash and help build a robust VDC platform
Compensation:
- Salary is dependent on experience but expected between $90,000 and $140,000 p.a
- Bonus and profit sharing as additional compensation
