The Missisquoi Valley School District is seeking an innovative, flexible and dynamic educator to serve as teacher in our grades 3 to 6 alternative program. The ideal candidate will have experience and/ or interest in nature and place based learning, have proven ability to work with students experiencing social/ emotional challenges and be able to work collaboratively with a team of professionals to meet the needs of students. The teacher must hold or be eligible for a Vermont Elementary Educator or related license. Training in restorative practices, trauma informed practices, outdoor education or related experiences is desirable.
MVSD is located in the northwestern corner of Vermont bordering Lake Champlain on its west and Quebec Province in Canada on its north. Interstate 89, Vermont Route 78, and U.S. Route 7 are the major transportation routes through the town. Right off Interstate 89, MVU is 15 minutes from St.
