Swanton Elementary is seeking a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator to begin in the 2025-2026 school year.The SEL Coordinator will facilitate and support the social-emotional and behavioral growth of students through effective problem-solving within the schools Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). They will work directly with faculty and staff to encourage collaboration, idea sharing, and to ensure best practices are followed when dealing with student behavioral concerns and social-emotional skill development. This position supports the goal of improving student outcomes by facilitating and encouraging system wide initiatives to increase student success through behavioral knowledge and positive behavior supports. This position will support the integration of MTSS behavior/positive school climate components within the schools existing systems, be responsible for Restorative Practices, and conduct HHB investigations.Swanton Elementary provides educational services for approximately 600 students, grades PK-6.

Swanton is located in the northwestern corner of Vermont bordering Lake Champlain on its west and Quebec Province in Canada on its north. Interstate 89, Vermont Route 78, and U.S. Route 7 are the major transportation routes through the town.
