Missisquoi Valley Union Middle / High School (MVU) is seeking a professional, energetic Family and Consumer Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and interest in teaching courses such as Living on your Own, International Cuisine, Sewing, Food and Nutrition, etc., and have suggestions for new and exciting learning opportunities for students! Applicants must be well versed in and ready to provide instruction to a diverse population of students, grade 7-12. MVU provides educational services for approximately 800 students, grades 7-12 coming from Franklin, Highgate, and Swanton schools, as well as students from neighboring towns offering school choice. The chosen candidate will join a dynamic, dedicated staff that is continuously moving on a journey towards instructional excellence. Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply : -Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid Vermont teaching license with the appropriate endorsement. Individuals who hold a corresponding teaching license outside the state of VT will be considered equally. -Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, organizational, collaboration and decision-making skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. MVU is located in the northwestern corner of Vermont bordering Lake Champlain on its west and Quebec Province in Canada on its north. Interstate 89, Vermont Route 78, and U.S. Route 7 are the major transportation routes through the town. Right off Interstate 89, MVU is 15 minutes from St. Albans, 40 minutes from Burlington, and just over an hour from Montreal.
