The MS Adolescent Center (MAC) is an IDD facility operated under the Department of Mental Health. Our program serves individuals between the ages of 13 and 21.
Description:
Jobs in this family provide hands-on, direct care to clients including observations, treatment, and monitoring.
The functions within this job family will vary by level, but may include the following:
- Develop and/or implement habilitation or treatment plans.
- Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
- Assist and/or provide basic health care for clients, such as checking vital signs and height/weight.
The work assigned to positions in this series ranges from basic direct support care to the administrative management of a treatment unit.
This position is for Support Care Professional at the MS Adolescent Center:
Contract Full-Time position on B Shift (2p-10:30p).
State Full-Time positions on A Shift (6a-2:30p), B Shift (2p-10:30p), or C Shift (10p-6:30a)
Duties for the Support Care Professional in the Residential Living department include:
· Charts individual behavior and activity.
· Provides one on one intensive behavioral support and supervision.
· Directs and participates in recreational and social activities for individuals in accordance with written programs and habilitation plans.
· Accompanies individuals to activities and programs outside the facility.
· Performs or assists in the performance of individuals personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, shaving, and brushing teeth.
· Maintains order in individual care rooms, individual care areas, shower, bathroom, and kitchenette area.
· Inventories individual clothing.
· Responding to individuals in crisis.
· Attends and participates in all related in-service training sessions.
· Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.
· The ability to work well with others, strong communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to act in a professional manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.73 - $20.00 per hour
