About the Agency:

The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the primary agency responsible for State government financial and administrative operations including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of State buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the State's vehicle fleet, and numerous other related activities

About the Position:

• This position is in the Bureau of Financial Management within the Office of Fiscal Management in Vendor Services Department.
• This position is responsible for maintaining and updating vendor master data, working closely with agencies and vendors to ensure compliance, and performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

• This position will require knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
• The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• The ability to work with a complex accounting system independently.
• The successful candidate is a team player with strong organizational skills
• Aattention to detail
• Data processing skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
