Position Summary :
Produce Leads support the Produce Manager in ensuring a great customer experience, the team is working effectively together, the department is well stocked, organized and clean. They help customers, support and supervise staff, order product, and ensure the area is safe, friendly, and inviting.
Their main responsibilities include customer service, supporting and supervising staff (directing, coaching, and training), ordering, organizing and preparing product for sale, keeping things safe and healthy, and making the area friendly and inviting.
Qualifications :
- Customer Service : Proven ability to engage with customers and staff in a friendly and welcoming manner, actively listen, understand needs, address questions, and provide solutions; skilled at and committed to resolving customer concerns
- Product Experience : Direct experience with perishable products and safe handling practices
- Teamwork : Demonstrates a professional, collaborative, adaptable, and flexible approach to work, especially during challenging situations, with a strong commitment to supporting the team; willing to learn new tasks and open to feedback
- Communication : Proven ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff; ability to provide information in a respectful and concise way fostering a positive and professional experience; ability to proactively communicate issues and concerns to leadership

Location : 740 East 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106
Schedule : Sunday & Monday : 6am - 2pm, Tuesday - Thursday : 10am - 6pm. Current shifts available may vary and can include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

Physical and Working Requirements :
The position involves frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement within the produce and storage areas. Occasional positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products. The job also entails the frequent movement of containers weighing up to 60 lbs. Produce Leads constantly sort, prepare, and handle produce items and may occasionally ascend / descend a ladder to reach high shelving. Produce Leads will utilize various equipment including but not limited to knives, pallet jack, baler, and shrink wrapper. This role requires exchanging accurate information in person, over the phone, and through email and other written communication. Additionally, Produce Leads will frequently work in a walk-in cooler and be exposed to sanitizer, cleaning products, natural molds, and loud noises. This position requires an individual to be at least 18 years old.
