What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage Operations Intern position at Mississippi Mud Monsters?
The Mississippi Mud Monsters are seeking current college students to be a part of the team’s 2025 season. As a Food & Beverage operations Internship, you will get first-hand experience in the day-to-day operation of a professional baseball franchise. This is a seasonal internship position which requires college credit and will last the duration of the 2025 season only.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPERATIONS INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide service assistance to the concession stands to ensure an exceptional fan experience
• Coordinate the on-going daily setup and cleanup of all food and beverage operations at the stadium
• Working closely with the Food & Beverage Department on placing food and beverage orders, food preparation, and waste management
• Inventory management and stocking concessions areas
• Responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of all food and beverage areas
• Understanding pricing, menu options, and POS capabilities for areas in the ballpark
• Adhere to all uniform requirements and team policies
• Assist with all tarp pulls - which may include non-game days, weekends and or holidays
• Other duties assigned by the Manager of Hospitality & Special Events.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

· Fan and community engagement (mascot appearances, pocket schedule delivery, etc.)
· Assist with stadium cleanliness and overall stadium presentation
· Special events
· Assist with all tarp pulls - which may include non-game days, weekends and or holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Past food and beverage experience is preferred
· Undergraduate student in Hospitality Management (preferably junior or senior) attending an accredited university
· Must be able to earn college credit for internship-no exceptions
· Must be able to commit to work the entire internship period from start to finish
· Willingness and ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
· Extremely coachable, upbeat and positive attitude
· Highly motivated with strong work ethic
· Passion for providing an exceptional fan experience
· Strong desire to work in a team environment
COMPENSATION: $750 per month
