Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of energy services related projects in highly competitive markets. This position will also work in conjunction with MPC Marketing Reps in developing end use solutions and solving customer facility opportunities for improvement. The role will move projects from a procedural and technical standpoint through to contracting and construction depending upon the scope of the project. This role helps facilitate preliminary feasibility audits as well as investment grade audits when required, then selects and works with our engineering and construction allies to help implement the projects. This role carries the responsibility of scope development, technical specifications, construction management, and performance assurance as required by the individual project scopes. In addition, this role will help with customer service solutions and technical assistance for energy services/conservation subjects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS ( Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
- Education: Engineering degree from accredited program required. Professional Engineer license preferred, and CEM license preferred.
- Ideal candidate will have strong technical experience with the ability to assist with projects in the energy services/conservation market to include HVAC related mechanical equipment and general building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Three years of experience in developing/engineering energy efficiency and conservation solutions in the areas of HVAC, controls, lighting, water conservation, electrical infrastructure, building envelop improvements, and other technology-based applications within the industrial and large commercial markets as well as specific experience within the municipality, university, schools, and hospital markets is preferred.
- Experience in mechanical systems design, equipment selection, as well as application of large HVAC and mechanical systems, process heat, boilers, and indoor lighting systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and adherence to construction timelines and budget management.
- Ability to provide customer service and develop customer relationships.
- Experience needed in drafting, writing, assembling, and responding to technology applications for energy services/conservation related projects.
- Preferred skills include verbal presentations at various levels of customer project development.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing project tasks.
- Good written, verbal, and listening communication skills including interface with internal and external customers, contractors, and multiple levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer issues, create solutions, and negotiate positive outcomes in a highly profession manner between all parties on energy related projects.
- Working with a dynamic technical team environment developing energy services/conservation projects primarily to industrial and commercial customers.
- Compile, develop, and price projects based on bids from design professionals, contractors, or other external quotes.
- Function as the primary interface between customer, contractor, and vendor during implementation of energy projects.
- Manage aspects of energy project development, customer contract negotiations, project construction execution and project performance assurance as driven by specific project needs.
- Comply with all MPC and Energy Services processes and procedures.
- Ensure high quality of work and satisfaction with customer – provide feedback to MPC and vendor.
- Work with team to develop electric end use equipment solution strategies and “energy use of efficiency” related market programs to meet customer’s changing requirements.
- Develop strong working relationships with architects, engineers, vendors, and other consultants.
