Operators— (Auxiliary, Assistant Station Operator)
This position is responsible for operating Boilers, Turbines, Generators, and Auxiliary Equipment. The Operator positions include Auxiliary Operator and Assistant Station Operator. The successful candidate will be placed in a position based upon their experience and have the ability to progress up to the Station Operator position.
Operators must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts. Shifts consist of days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work overtime and call-out duty as needed.
This position will be located at Plant Daniel (Moss Point, Mississippi).

- Operate, maintain, clean, monitor and check the boiler, turbines and auxiliary equipment in the plant
- Maintain logs, records and timesheets accurately
- Assist other operations employees in completing operational tasks
- Learn from operations employees about operations throughout the plant
- Perform Lockout Tagout
- Make routine rounds on equipment
- Perform plant switching
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
- Previous power plant experience preferred
- Previous experience in the operation of Boilers and Turbines preferred
- Experience in a physically demanding work environment and ability to work with all types of tools is preferred
- Operation of boilers, turbines and auxiliary equipment of a generating plant is preferred
- Formal technical education, military experience, power plant experience, heavy or light industrial related experience is preferred
- Experience working rotating shifts preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license required
- Ability to work rotating 12 hours shifts including weekends, nights and holidays
- Ability to work overtime and call-out duty as needed
- Knowledge of Electrical Generation
- Ability to safely perform minor maintenance duties on industrial equipment
- Ability to comprehend highly technical subjects such as water chemistry and turbine dynamics
- Ability to make quick accurate and safe decisions under pressure
