Summary: This position oversees the tenant selection process for the district and the agency. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/ or ability of the employee. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Receives applications, establishes, and maintains filing and records system, which includes all correspondence for all preliminary applicants within the district.
· Receives or refers initials providing service and assisting with information concerning the application process or if an application is on file when it might be processed.
· Assist in the scheduling of federal preference interviews, formal application interviews and Assisted Housing briefing sessions according to both HUD and PHA guidelines.
· Performs clerical duties related to occupancy including preparation of transfer briefing list and briefing packets and typing and filing of general correspondence and other documents. Duties also include on an as needed basis assisting in answering the main phone system and greeting clients and visitors.
· Either performs or assists in calculating total tenant payment for all applicants for certification purposes.
· Assist with the preparation of files & records and provide support to the reexamine staff in obtaining data and information in processing the file system.
· Assist the Housing Specialist with formal, interim and re-exam applications on an as needed basis.
· Assist as needed in scheduling of all federal preference interviews, formal application interviews and Assisted Housing briefing sessions.
· Responsible for providing clerical and administrative support and assisting with receptionist front desk duties. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, management, officials, and handle administrative duties in a fast-paced office environment.
· Other related duties as assigned.
