Essential Duties
  • Evaluates files for admissions.
  • Determines eligibility of applications for admissions.
  • Tracks all documentation for each applicant regarding admissions.
  • Generates letters of acceptance and rejection of applicants.
  • Works with Admissions Committee to review borderline transfer applicants.
  • Enters applicant data information in Banner and CRM.
  • Places holds on student files for final college/university transcripts to complete files.
  • Compiles information for reports concerning admissions for external offices and entities (Institutional Research office, IHL Board, etc.)
  • Corresponds with applicants, as necessary to obtain required information for admissions.
  • Assists with other admissions projects and special events.
  • Collaborates with Office of the Registrar to confirm and verify transfer equivalencies.
  • Relays admissions decisions to Admissions Counselors.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least one year of experience working in a professional office environment; three years preferred
  • Experience with transcript evaluation or other college admissions processes preferred
Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software/databases
  • Knowledge of Slate CRM and Banner preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, employees and throughout the campus community

Determines and monitors the eligibility for applicants for admissions to the University, which includes incoming Freshmen and Transfers.
