Job Description
Serves as a leader and role model in supervising and directing the operations and finances of the surgery center. Responsible for oversight of patient care in all clinical areas of the facility according to its policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives assuring a safe environment for both patients and employees. Oversees the acquisition of and maintenance of operative equipment supplies and instrumentation. Coordinates and directs patient care and related activities of the facility according to accepted standards and to improve quality of care given. Shares responsibility for the fiscal activities of the facility with the CFO and CEO. Oversees patient scheduling and other administrative roles. Analyzes and evaluates efficiencies and cost effectiveness such as OR utilization and case costing. Works closely with administrative and medical staff in coordinating patient-care service functions. Coordinates all regulatory and accreditation surveys successfully and in a timely manner. Maintains employee records, surgical records, quality measures, unusual occurrence data and hazard control information. Your expected schedule will be a standard 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, allowing you to enjoy a balanced work-life dynamic while making a significant impact on patient care and operational excellence.
Are you a good fit for this Surgery Center Director job?
Graduate of accredited school of nursing/BSN, RN with active MT license, BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification, demonstrated proficiency as OR/Scrub RN and PACU or ICU experience - minimum 3 years supervisory experience required, evidence of leadership qualities, strong ethical and moral character, language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication, ASC experience - 3-5 years minimum of experience in an independent ASC setting in a leadership role preferred, MS Word and MS Excel proficiency, competence in principles of finance, MBA a plus.
