Job Title : Preschool Lead Teacher
FLSA Status : full time, non-exempt
Y Job Grade 6
Wage : 18.49 - $22.00 / hr, depends on experience
Department : YMCA Learning Center
Reports to : Learning Center Director
Probation : Subject to a 12-month introductory (probationary) period
POSITION SUMMARY : The Greater Missoula Family YMCA Learning Center is hiring a team oriented, dependable, loving and compassionate lead teacher who loves to engage and have fun with children age 3-4 in a quality care learning environment. The Lead Teacher is responsible for organizing and leading daily activities of pre-kindergarten children. They oversee the program curriculum and environment, providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate experience to meet the needs of the children and families in the program. We are hiring a lead teacher with either : two years’ experience in licensed childcare; a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology with coursework in child development; or a CDA. Applicants must be able to thrive in an environment with the unique challenges of a non-profit community service organization and work with limited supervision.

Education / Certification
Required – Either two years’ experience in a licensed facility, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology with coursework in child development, or a CDA
Required – Must have current CPR and First Aid or obtain within first 30 days of employment
Experience - 1-2 years child care experience or working with children preferred
Salary : $18 - $22
