What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPRING SALES INTERN position at Missoula PaddleHeads Baseball?
We are committed to cultivating a collaborative front office team that includes interns who share our passion for doing right, engaging meaningfully, and creating success. As the Sales Intern, you will get some of the best experience in professional sports. You will work directly with our Director of Sales, Group Sales Manager, and the entire sales team to learn the full sales process, client and nonprofit prospecting and Best in Class customer Service. With a clear vision toward a bright future, we will work together to maximize the fan experience, create a deeper sense of community value, and stand as the centerpiece for everything baseball for our good neighbors in Missoula. We are looking for an intern with a hunger to learn about professional sports who wants to grow both personally and professionally while learning the business of baseball.
The ideal candidate would be someone who wants to learn the art of consultative selling in professional sports. This person should be a self-starter with effective communication skills and an execution mindset.
This is an unpaid internship-for-credit. We are looking for a commitment of around 150 hours of office work over the spring academic term. The internship runs from January 27th to around May 9th. Office hours can be broken up and decided by the student and Intern manager.
Responsibilities and expectations:
- Prospect and grow partnerships with local nonprofits and youth sports and activities
- Assist nonprofits and groups to raise money through the PaddleHeads nonprofit program while supporting the PaddleHeads’ fundamental goal of growing community attendance at games throughout the season
- Engage partnerships meaningfully through a collaborative and non-transactional approach while building long term relationships
2025 Spring Projects:
Build and manage a strategy around growth in our Ballpark Community Outreach Program
A successful project will result in:
- Average 200 tickets/nonprofit Tuesdays
- 100% Participation in 50/50
- 50% participation in dugout teams
- Create systems and strategies that allow repeated success in all aspects above
