Deputy Press Secretary
The Missouri Attorney General's Office is seeking a Deputy Press Secretary. The responsibilities include drafting press releases on legal and consumer issues, assisting in responses to media requests from statewide newspapers, television and radio stations, organizing press conferences and public events, performing research, and other duties as assigned. The qualified applicant will be professional, organized and energetic; have excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills; display a strong attention to detail and accuracy; be able to work well under pressure and meet pertinent deadlines; have a familiarity with Missouri state government; and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, Political Science, Communications, or a related discipline with prior experience in media or public policy is preferred.
