This job makes a difference in people’s lives! The MO-PEP Coordinator helps non-profits communicate their missions and programs, and assists government agencies with alerting communities of important services available to them. This is accomplished by utilizing broadcast and digital messaging via the Missouri Public Education Program (MO-PEP), which offers an exclusive matching program for non-profits and government agencies. This position also fundraises for the MBA Foundation, the MBA Annual Convention and other special events.
Sales and/or broadcasting experience preferred, but not required.

Essential functions of the position:
• Generating revenue by selling radio, television and digital public service campaigns
• Generating revenue through sponsorships for the annual convention and other special events
• Growing the MBA Foundation through fundraising and soliciting donations
• Prospecting for clients
• Setting appointments
• Making presentations independently and with the President/CEO
• Working with vendors/contractors on broadcast and digital production work
• Scheduling monthly inventory while collaborating with the MBA Office Manager
• Overseeing monthly traffic instructions to stations while collaborating with the MBA Office Manager
• Assisting the President/CEO with member station relationships, events and meetings
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Broadcast and/or sales experience
• Knowledge of radio, TV and digital operations, specifically sales, traffic and production
• Communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and MBA members
• Professional appearance and manner
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle
• Access to a motor vehicle to make in-person calls/attend appointments
• Experience with Excel/ability to learn how to use the software
