Summary/Objective
Provide technical support and research to assist engineers, architects, construction superintendents and surveyors.
Essential Job Duties
- Create construction drawings and documents that meet engineer/architect specifications.
- Provide research, information, and technical support concerning environmental compliance, existing surveys of topo and infrastructure, calculation of quantities, and standards.
- Collaborate on large projects; attend meetings & site visits, perform peer reviews, and properly file and catalog documents.
- Generate high quality presentation documents and videos to be used in meetings, social media or news sites to convey a conceptual plan for an area improvement.
- Maintain files, work area and equipment.
- Help others with general office questions, programs, and equipment.

Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree in Design and Drafting, or related field.
- One (1) year of experience in drafting design.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to prepare graphic illustrations and cartographic drawings.
- Advanced Autodesk including Revit, and Civil 3D knowledge and the ability to stay current on changes/updates to programs.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Knowledge to interpret aerial imagery, digital terrain models, floor plans, HVAC layouts and electrical diagrams.
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Excellent customer service, as well as, oral and written communication skills.
- Basic ArcMap abilities.
Work Environment
- Significant portion of work is performed in varying field environments.
Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position 70% or more of the time.
- Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
- Regularly lift up to 5 pounds, correctly lift up to 20 pounds.
- Concentrated attention is required at all times.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.

Exemption Status/Special Notes
This position has been determined to be Nonexempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act. Employees must agree to accept compensatory time in lieu of cash payments in accordance with the Department's Compensatory Time Off and Overtime Policy.
Salaried and hourly employees are expected to use a mobile device-cellular phone for Department business, as needed.
