What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cutting / Machine Operator position at Missouri Fabricators?
This position is responsible for all assigned work in a fabrication shop. Missouri Fabricators is a division of OCCI, Inc. a growing company with over 30-years of experience in heavy civil construction. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.
Essential Duties:
- Perform work in accordance with company’s safety practices and procedures
- Perform fabrication work in accordance with customer contract requirements and specifications
- Be a team player
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Willingness to work in welding, cutting or paint department. Training is available
- Effectively read blueprints and determine measurements for cutting of steel
- Ability to be trained to operate CNC steel processing machinery
- Inspects machinery daily prior to each use
- Operate overhead cranes and perform safe and efficient lifts of materials
- Ability to accurately keep track of daily allocation of time spent per assigned task
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications/Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- CNC Machine experience, preferred but not required
- Fabrication experience a plus.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and crawl over and under fabricated materials.
- Work extensive hours in a non-climate environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with basic IPad functionality
- Familiarity with basic computer skills (Windows platform)
