Maintenance Worker (part-time)

Job Specific:

1. Perform daily inspections of assigned equipment to insure it is in safe driving condition.

2. Performs repair and maintenance on buildings, storage facilities and equipment program wide.

3. Performs remodels, refurbishing and repair of interior office spaces, classrooms and storage units.

4. Move office furniture, fixtures and equipment within and between sites to support staffing changes, relocations, remodels and program expansion.

5. Perform routine maintenance of all heating and ventilation systems.

6. Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance.

7. Assist with monitoring site interiors and exteriors for safety hazards.

8. Perform maintenance in order to keep outdoor areas from safety hazards, trash, weeds and other foreign materials.

9. Perform regular maintenance and assist with the upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, playgrounds and parking lots, to include weeding, mowing, landscape, trash and litter removal and anything else required to keep sites clean and neat.

10. Perform repair, maintenance, upkeep, moving and transport of playground structures.

11. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

12. Ability to regularly lift up to 5o lbs.

13. Ensure maintenance requests are submitted for all work performed as directed.

14. Documents, records, and informs staff of observations and information they have been privy to and which might affect a child in the Head Start program.

15. Helps to ensure that child incident, child health concerns, and child abuse and neglect reports are submitted, as needed, utilizing agency website.

16. Ensure all work completed is done with the intention of giving our clients the highest quality of environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.68 - $14.69 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
