The MSSU Nursing Department is looking for a Assistant Professor of Nursing and Graduate Nursing Coordinator. This grant-funded position will be pivotal in shaping the new Master in Nursing program at MSSU.
The Graduate Nursing Coordinator will oversee the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of the graduate nursing programs at Missouri Southern State University. This position coordinates the curriculum, advises graduate nursing students, and ensures compliance with accreditation standards. The Graduate Nursing Coordinator will work closely with faculty, staff, and clinical partners to promote the success and growth of the graduate nursing programs.
Education, Experience, and Licenses
Education: Doctorate in Nursing (DNP, PhD) or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Missouri and/or compact state. Certification in nursing specialty area preferred. Nurse Practitioner license and certification preferred.
Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or administrative role.

Experience in graduate nursing education and curriculum development.

Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards.
Skills:

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners.

Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation.
This is a tenure-track assistant professor position with a 10-month contract. The expected start date is August 1st, 2025.
